Farmland Preservation

Overview

The Farmland Preservation Program (FPP) provides Conservation Departments with a management program for tracking status and issuing of Farmland Preservation certificates. Additionally, the program includes features designed to improve workflow and reduce manual work by staff.

This is a web-based program (website) residing on the County’s server, which is accessed via a username & password. Transcendent has capability to provide hosting accommodations (if necessary).

Program Capabilities

  • Real-time integration with any parcel management program, for up to-date: owner/address, parcel splits, etc.
  • Integration with GIS data to provide direct link to parcel map, as well as zoning district for each parcel (if zoned)
  • Assists with certificate issuance and allows forms to be created in just a few “clicks” (CoC, NoNC, and Cancellation of NoNC)
  • Tracks certificates and parcels, to alert staff if changes occur that may affect eligibility to claim credits (landowner changes, parcel splits, etc.)
  • Automatically create self-certification mailings and monitor participant responses to ensure they’ve been completed
  • Web-based program (website) allows participants to submit self-certifications online through very simple process (if County desires)
  • Many other time-savers and workflow improvements

Farm Compliance Tracking

Overview

Farm Compliance is designed for Conservation staff to track on-site evaluations for compliance, and to provide documentation of site conditions at the time of a site visit. As compliance with standards can impact other aspects of conservation (i.e. cost-sharing or eligibility for FPP), this program is also linked to other Ascent programs like FPP & NMP (if used by County).

This is a web-based program (website) residing on the County’s server, which is accessed via a username & password. Transcendent has capability to provide hosting accommodations (if necessary).

Program Capabilities

  • Links directly to scanned documents for easy access, greatly reducing phone calls for staff
  • Ability to locate evaluations by landowner, operator, and many other criteria
  • Logs details pertaining to each standard at time of evaluation, including notes about context of each scenario
  • Each site visit gets stored in perpetuity, ensuring relationships between parcels/owners/operators can be determined in the future
  • Reports to quickly determine where there are outstanding compliance issues
  • Web-based program (website) allows staff to access from any location or device with internet
  • Many other time-savers and workflow improvements

NMP Monitoring

Overview

The NMP Monitoring program provides a streamlined way for Conservation Departments to track nutrient management plans and ensure checklists are submitted on a regular basis. Additionally, the program includes features designed to improve workflow and reduce workload on staff.

This is a web-based program (website) residing on the County’s server, which is accessed via a username & password. Transcendent has capability to provide hosting accommodations (if necessary).
